How We Do It
Our Method
The PICO Process
The Pico Fractional Resurfacing treatment employs picosecond laser technology, a type of laser that releases energy in ultra-short bursts or “picoseconds.” These quick bursts ensure minimal heat exposure to the skin, reducing potential damage and downtime. The “fractional” aspect means the laser targets only a fraction of the skin at a time, leaving tiny spaces untreated, which aids in rapid recovery.
How It Works:
- Targeting Melanin and Pigmentation: The laser energy is absorbed by unwanted pigment in the skin, breaking it into smaller particles which are then eliminated by the body.
- Stimulating Collagen Production: The laser also encourages collagen and elastin production, critical components for skin’s youthfulness and elasticity.
- Treating a Range of Concerns: From acne scars to wrinkles, sun damage, and uneven skin tone, Pico Fractional Resurfacing addresses a broad spectrum of skin issues.
Benefits
- Faster Recovery: Due to its precision and minimal heat exposure, recovery time is generally quicker than other laser treatments.
- Versatility: Suitable for various skin types and concerns.
- Less Painful: Many patients report less discomfort compared to traditional lasers.
- Effective Results: Noticeable skin improvements after just a few sessions.

PICO Fractional Resurfacing: The Next Wave in Skin Rejuvenation
Introduction
In the dynamic realm of aesthetic medicine, Pico Fractional Resurfacing is causing quite a stir. As skin concerns evolve, so do treatments, and this innovative procedure promises to deliver transformative results with minimal downtime. Let’s dive into the world of Pico and explore its magic.
What is Pico Fractional Resurfacing?
Pico Fractional Resurfacing is an advanced laser treatment that uses ultra-short picosecond (one trillionth of a second) laser pulses to treat the skin. Unlike traditional lasers that rely on intense heat energy, Pico’s rapid pulses offer a gentler approach, reducing heat damage and promoting faster recovery.
The Science Behind It
The Pico laser emits ultra-fast pulses, shattering pigment particles in the skin into tiny fragments. These fragments are then naturally eliminated by the body. Additionally, the laser stimulates collagen and elastin production, vital proteins for youthful, resilient skin.
Key Applications
Pico Fractional Resurfacing addresses a multitude of skin concerns:
- Pigmentation: Targets sun spots, age spots, and other pigmented lesions.
- Tattoo Removal: Effective on various ink colors and depths.
- Acne Scars: Reduces the appearance and depth of scars.

- Large Pores: Minimizes pore size.

- Treatment: The Pico laser is glided over the skin, targeting specific issues.
- Post-Care: A soothing gel or cream is applied, and patients are advised on aftercare.
